Mike French moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1994 to join the Ponderosa Hotel Management team. He has been the General Manager at the award-winning Comfort Inn I-17 & I-40 since 2001. Under his leadership, the Comfort Inn has won the Choice Hotels Platinum Award four years and the Gold Award for over five years. The Platinum award is Choice Hotels highest award level in the United States. While working for PHMS from 1994 to 2001, Mike also managed the Quality Inn Kings Ransom in Sedona, Arizona the Econo Lodge in Flagstaff, Arizona, and Interim General Manager at the Comfort Inn in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mike and his team believe their key to success is a daily focus on exceeding guest expectations and taking care of their team. Mike earned two undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Economics from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mike also earned a Masters degree in Organizational Communication from the University of South Dakota. He has achieved the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) credential, which is the highest credential in the hospitality field. Mike and his wife Christine have two teenage boys, Bridger and Cooper. Flagstaff is home to the French family and they enjoy the outdoor lifestyle that Northern Arizona has to offer.
